Many of you have asked why we call ourselves
2Chimps.com
Some may think it's a strange name for a stock market web site. Here are our answers:
First, we believe that today's markets, while incredibly rewarding, also have an uncanny way of making both long-term investors and short-term
traders feel like a monkey so much of the time. In other words, we often feel foolish and angry at ourselves because we bought too soon or too
late, sold too soon or too late, bought the wrong stocks, went short against winners, didn't buy enough shares, sold too many shares or
underestimated the strength or weakness of a particular stock. Our goal is to help you avoid these problems and to reduce the stress and
self-doubt that steals the joy you deserve when participating and prospering in the market.
We also feel that market analysts tend to take themselves too seriously, when in fact the majority may be no wiser than the rest of us. Accordingly, the more we read their daily "sermons," the more foolish we feel. 2Chimps.com, by contrast, believes that the general public has a good sense of the market and it's direction and thus the greatest service we can provide is easily understood guidance and focus. By calling ourselves chimps, we place ourselves on a very basic level. And, we feel that the markets are best understood from that basic perspective. Finally, we believe that the stock market is, after all, truly like a jungle -- that in order to survive and prosper, we must think, act and evaluate the markets from a jungle or survival mentality. And, who can do that better than the wise, witty and wily chimp? Chief Chimp, Jacob Bernstein, is the author of over 40 market books as well as a 40-year veteran of the stock and commodity markets. He has been a guest on Wall Street Week as well as numerous television shows. He appears regularly as a market commentator on radio and television. His numerous articles have appeared in various financial publications. Assistant Chief Chimp Elliott Bernstein provides technical analysis as well as research in new investment areas, including alternative energy. Although young, he is wise for his years and has been an avid student as well as an investor and trader for some time now. His perspective and command of technical timing and trading tools in the markets are excellent. 2Chimps.com is PASSWORD PROTECTED. Some areas are open to the public, many other reports are available to subscribers only.
